Summary:
Boys & Girls Club of Central Virginia runs a Jack Jouett Club before and after school. Open since 2003, the Jack Jouett Boys & Girls Club currently serves more than 200 members before and after school. Members include students of the Jack Jouett Middle School and beginning this year, students of neighboring Greer Elementary. The Club offers an array of quality programs such as Power Hour, Passport to Manhood, Smart Girls, PB&J Cooking, First-Tee, Theater & Improv, and Cycling. Volunteers from the University of Virginia, Albemarle High School, and the Charlottesville-Albemarle community help serve club members with their academic needs as well as participate in youth development programming.
Boys & Girls Club desires to rent the existing trailer at Jouett Middle School for administrative and program space. The trailer is currently used for bike storage, which will be moved into a new storage shed onsite. |
Funding:
The rental agreement will charge $475 per month to cover the cost of the utilities, custodial support and the metal shed for bike storage. After the bike storage shed costs are recovered, the rental amount will be reduced to cover only utilities and custodial support. |
