Summary: At the School Board Work Session on February 23rd, the Board and staff will analyze data gathered and organized by staff regarding our goals, strategies and key performance indicators. Key questions to consider include:

*How do these data points inform our progress toward organizational goals?
*What trends appear evident?
*Which data points could be mined for insights?
*From a larger, governing perspective, what kinds of questions should we have?

In addition, staff, teachers, and Board members will participate in three breakout sessions aligned with the five Strategic Goals:

1) College and Work Readiness Assessment (CWRA) and Performance Tasks (Goals 1 & 2)
2) Teacher Performance Appraisal (TPA) Update (Goal 3)
3) Instructional Program Evaluation using the PDSA Model (Goals 4 & 5)

Key questions to consider include:

*What are the patterns/themes that connect these models?
*How does this approach promote teacher and student learning?
*How have/will changes resulting from this approach embrace our five articulated values?
*How will they push us to reach our strategic goals?
Recommendation: School Board members are asked to review the posted information in advance and to consider the key questions listed in the summary above. At the Work Session, Board members will first meet with representatives from the TPA Update team together as a whole. They will then be asked to self-select into one of the two remaining breakout sessions. At the end of the breakout sessions, Board members will reconvene to reflect on how all three models strategically promote quality learning.
