Summary: Albemarle County Public Schools has been awarded a total of $47,459 from the 2017 School Security Equipment Grant Program. These funds will be used towards the purchase and installation of new intercom systems at Brownsville and Stony Point elementary schools, Burley, Walton and Sutherland middle schools, Albemarle and Western Albemarle high schools, and camera data system improvements for Albemarle, Western Albemarle and Monticello high schools. These are state funds. These funds will be received and disbursed as attached.

Recommendation: Request the Board of Supervisors appropriate the School Security Equipment Grant in the amount of $47,459.00 and to amend the appropriations ordinance accordingly.
