Summary:
|
The Special Educuation Department currently leases two spaces to fulfill space needs for programming. The Special Education Department requires a leased space in order to provide an intensive support team for students with disabilities. These students require intensive interventions and a high level of skilled personnel that cannot be provided at the neighborhood school. In order to keep these students in ACPS, the intensive support team is required. The Greenbrier location will provide intensive support services for up to 16 students with disabilities. The attached lease agreement extends the lease through June 30, 2024. One additional renewal through June 30, 2025 is expected. The Special Education Department requires a leased space in order to provide an evaluation and service center for preschool (age 2–5) students with disabilities. The Jordan Building lease has been in place but the building owner has recently changed to the Virginia Institute of Autism. The attached lease agreement is for 1,590 SF of space for a rental period of one year. |
