School Board Policy IIAA, Learning Resources/Textbook Selection Adoption, states that the Board delegates the responsibility for the selection and use of learning resources to the professionally trained staff. The Superintendent, or designeee, is responsible for the selection of learning resources for division-wide use. Learning Resources are used by teachers to plan, deliver and assess essential understandings of students' learning and include such items as, but not limited to, on-line databases, eBooks, textbooks, tradebooks, reference books, charts/graphs, pictures, curriculum-based software, workbooks, videos, DVD's and kits. Upon the Board's receipt of this informational item, staff will proceed with conducting a 30-day public review of these materials. Staff will review all feedback received from the publicduring this review and makeappropriate recommendations for action at the first February School Board meeting. |
