Summary:
|
The Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) provides funding for unserved, at-risk four-year-old children, which includes, a quality preschool education, health services, social services, parental involvement, and pupil transportation. Programs must provide full-day or half-day and, at least, school-year services. VPI and required local matching funds support the administration of the Bright Stars program. There has been an increase in funding for FY 21-22. These are state funds. The funds will be received and disbursed as attached. |

Request the Board of Supervisors appropriate the additional VPI funds in the amount of $126,000.00 and to amend the appropriations ordinance accordingly. |
