Summary: Due to pandemic closures of our schools and restrictions to visitors at the County Office Building, the Special Education Preschool Evaluation Team and the Special Education Preschool Playgroup Services moved to the space normally occupied by the Center for Learning and Growth at Ivy Creek. Coincidentally, this change in location for these services made them more accessible to families. Students assigned to the Center for Learning and Growth are currently attending programming with educators on the Lab School site. As the Center for Learning and Growth moves back to its space at Ivy Creek, the Special Education Preschool Evaluation Team and the Special Education Preschool Playgroup Services will need a new site with the same ease of access for our families. The Special Education Preschool Evaluation Team conducts federally mandated evaluations for all preschool aged students.

The attached lease agreement is for 1,300 SF of space for a rental period of two years. The space is in a centrally located area that will be convenient for families.
Funding: The rent $1,844.50 per month for the first year and $1,899.84 per month for the second year. The funding is from the Department of Special Services Medicaid Revenue.
Recommendation: Approve the SPED lease space agreement.
