Albemarle County Public Schools was granted over $2.3 million dollars to assist with High Intensity Tutoring for students scoring less than a 450 on their Math and Reading SOLs during the 2022-2023 academic year. In order to gain access to these funds, a spending plan had to be developed and approved by the Dr. Coons, State Superintendent

Recommendation:

$1.6 million All-In funds will be used for tutor compensation, transportation, and nutritional services.
$420,000 will be used for the adoption of a K-5 Literacy Curriculum.
$235,000 will also be used to support efforts to reduce chronic absenteeism.
