Summary:

Policy ACC defines anti-racism as the practice of identifying, challenging, and changing the values, structures, and behaviors that perpetuate systemic racism in Albemarle County Public Schools. The policy also states the School Board and School Division shall reject all forms of racism as destructive to our mission, vision, values, and goals.
Based on the comprehensive program evaluation report that outlines the year to date efforts, the Board will receive an overview of the programmatic updates and lessons learned from the Anti-Racism Steering Committee. The presentation will include an update on some of the key project initiatives from the five major implementation categories: Policy Communication; Leadership and Administration; Curriculum and Instruction; Professional Learning/Training; and Policy Enforcement.
