Summary: In accordance with state law and County ordinances, both the High School Center II and Mountain View Upper Elementary School (formerly Southern Feeder Pattern ES) projects require several different easements and maintenance agreements. Specifically, the following are required: 1. Approval of stormwater maintenance agreements with the County of Albemarle for both projects to ensure the proper maintenance of proposed stormwater facilities that are to be constructed with each project. 2. Approval of a Plat and Deed (to form) for stormwater facility Easements, public drainage easements, right-of-way dedications to public use, VDOT turn-around easement, and future reservations in the creation of special lots as required on both projects. 3. Approval of a deed and plat that is necessary for the Mountain View Upper ES project for associated project improvements on the Monticello Fire Station parcel, which is owned by the County of Albemarle. 4. Approval of a deed and plat that is necessary for the Mountain View Upper ES project for the Albemarle County Service Authority.
Funding: There are no upfront funding requirements. Funding for ongoing maintenance would be incorporated into future Building Services operational and capital maintenance programs.
Recommendation: ACPS Staff recommends the School Board approve the plats, deeds, and maintenance agreements described above and to direct staff to execute these documents accordingly.
