Summary
:
Albemarle County Public Schools has received a Prioritized Aspiring Educator Grant in the amount of $5,696.00 from the Virginia Department of Education for FY24.These grant funds will be used to support provisional teachers of color through tutoring and covering the financial cost of testing. This program includes partnerships with 240 Tutoring and the University of Virginia Master’s of Teaching (UVA MT). Both partnerships will provide education support and testing to teachers, eliminating the economic barrier to teacher licensure and degree completion. These are state funds. The funds will be received and disbursed as attached.
