Summary:
|
The ACE Academy-Lambs Lane construction project envisioned a relocated shot put and discus throwing area for Albemarle High School (AHS). This relocation was necessary to accommodate the new parking lot and AHS practice fields that are included in the project. The proposed shot put and discus throwing facilities are located on property that is owned by Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (RWSA), and is directly adjacent to a pumping station owned and operated by RWSA. RWSA has no immediate tangible use for this property and has agreed to lease the land to ACPS at no annual operating costs for the purposes of constructing, maintaining, and operating shot put and discus throwing facilities.

There are no annual operational financial implications related to this lease. The cost of construction was included in the ACE Academy-Lambs Lane project bid.
