Summary
:
Albemarle County Public Schools has received two School-Based Health Workforce grants from the Virginia Department of Education for FY23. The first grant in the amount of $79,999.86 will be used to cover recruitment and educational development expenses for our school-based health workforce. The expenses include an additional school nurse floater position, nursing license renewal costs, NASN memberships, and professional development. The second grant in the amount of $77,350 will be used for recruitment and retention bonuses for our health workforce staff. This agenda is to request appropriation for this funding in the amount of $157,349.86. These are federal funds. The funds will be received and disbursed as attached.
