Summary:
|
Currently, the Human Resources Department serves both Albemarle County Public Schools and the Albemarle County Government. As a Human Resources Department’s systems and structures must be aligned to support the organizational culture, leadership has recognized that the current model cannot effectively support the needs of both organizations. As such, a decision has been made to separate into two distinct Human Resources departments to better serve the growing employee workforce and to best meet the priorities of the two agencies. This will occur by July 2022. In preparation of that separation, a consultant was hired to research best practices for K-12 Human Resources supports and make recommendations for the HR Redesign. At this meeting our consultant will share his report.
